“Makigami: understanding your business processes”

Makigami Process Mapping can be used to visualise and analyse any business process. It is particularly suitable for the office environment, where the processes are in general less transparent. Any of the ‘seven deadly losses’ can (and will) be exposed.

When executing a Makigami, three phases are completed:

1. How are we doing now? (Visualising the current state)
2. What is our vision? (Visualising the ideal state)
3. What is the first step towards our vision? (Designing an improved process)
