“The graphics industry is under pressure”

With 48,000 employees in 3,700 companies and a turnover of 6.5 billion Euro, it looks like the market is stabilising. Customers of Graphi-media companies are putting higher demands on their suppliers. Products must be more attractive and diverse, and on-time delivery is of utmost importance. In a stabilising market, the customer becomes more demanding and the product must respond by means of high quality, price and timely delivery.

By investing in high technology and technical craftsmanship, paper companies attempt to respond to the high demands from the market. It is uncertain if this is sufficient to stay ahead of the competition and the question arises: how to keep continuously improving.

“With TPM you will improve your competitiveness: with and through your employees.”

Graphical Industry

Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) is an improvement program that aims, together with your employees, to reduce the losses in your work processes. Depending on the chosen improvement target, you will visualise your losses. By, together with those involved, identifying and reducing the losses in your process, such as stoppages and quality losses, solutions will be accepted and sustained.

The same procedure can be applied to losses in the supporting processes. Those involved in these processes will make the losses in their process visible and will work to reduce them. The result is a smoothly running organisation, where everyone visibly contributes to customer satisfaction.

World Class Performance in the graphics industry

TPM allows us to use various techniques to make the qualitative and quantitative losses in your organisation visible. Multidisciplinary teams (Prepress, Sales, Publishing, etc.) will ensure a sustainable solution. They will reduce functional losses by choosing process-oriented solutions. The solutions found (or put another way: the standards) are embedded within the organisation. And of course we celebrate the fact that we have improved our competitive position.
