“History”

Blom Consultancy was founded in 1992 by Steven Blom. At Fuji in Japan, he became acquainted with Japanese forms of organisation and company structures, and he studied the methods that the Japanese use to manufacture successfully.

As the production director of Fuji's plant in Tilburg, the Netherlands, when it was founded, Steven had the unique opportunity to adapt these techniques to the Dutch situation and to steadily improve them during the next nine years. He wanted to make this knowledge available to other companies and decided to start his own company: Blom Consultancy.

Ton Aerdts, the current director of Blom Consultancy, joined the company in 1993. Since then, Blom Consultancy has expanded to the current 35 coworkers. In January 2002, Ton Aerdts succeeded Steven Blom as the owner of the company.
